Description

Hello, I am selling my beloved Hilux LN106. Great condition, great driving, runs like new and leak free. This truck will not leave to stranded anywhere and has been a time proven choice vehicle for anyone who can't afford repair bills or ridiculous maintenance costs.
These trucks use the solid front axle like the US made early 80s trucks and retain the same frame but with much improvement. These vehicle was brought in legally from Japan with no expense spared. Hand selected and brought over, the model is called LN106 and its how the Hilux got its name as "Hilux the Invincible".
This years engine code 3L which is a 2.8 liter naturally aspirated diesel 4 cylinder in line motor is one of if not the most reliable motor ever put out by Toyota, many people put the turbo from the previous model years onto this motor for extra power and this one remain stock. The engine has a lot of grunt as is and will climb up anything and still is able to cruise down the highway at comfortable speeds.
About this truck:
Dual Optima batteries, up to date maintenance and timing belt, has an altimeter gauge on the dash, 4 door, very mint interior.
Clutch is in perfect running order, engine is clean and smooth running, under side is oil free and rust free.
**Theres no rust on this truck. The frames on this generation are not prone to rust however this one is like new and will stay that way as its been treated with POR15. Body is clean and rust free, no dings, dents or such.
As far as the fuel economy is concerned, with these slightly over sized tires (31x10.5) I am getting 28 MPG mixed use of highway and city. I am not sure what the optimal speed for fuel economy is but I'd venture a guess of 60 MPH.
If you are interested in this truck I suggest researching it and finding out why people of the world love these trucks. 88-1989 is the first year we can legally import them into the US which this one is, you will have a normal title and it is federally legal as well. This is the second year of the body style which runs to 99 in most of the world and longer in some places. Solid front axle models generally ran to 97. The first batches of these trucks where bought up by foreign Militaries for use as Humvee basically and are nearly extinct due to usage, wars and owner not selling them. These trucks run about 18,000$ no matter where you are in the world given they are in good working order and condition.
The truck has very little electronics and no computer to fail, get wet, or short out and EMP proof. This trucks are made to submerge much like our American Military HMMWV and has water proof electrical plugs and systems.
As mentioned everything works on this truck, AC works but does need a rubber O-ring and leak test performed as it doesn't hold AC through the winter but it has been converted to R12 from R134A.
Drives like a new truck, new shocks which are more of an off road shock (Old Man Emu) I believe. Does have some block heater plug in system and also a coolant heater plug in system. I plan to see the auction through unless I am given an offer I can't refuse. 125,000 miles on the truck, odometer is in Kilometers and this is needless to say a Right Hand Drive vehicle however RHD cars are perfectly legal in all 50 states and most countries.
I can easily arrange shipping for you anywhere in the country but you will have to pay for it.
If you are interested in a topper/caravan or ARB winch bumper I have some I have collected. Another important thing to know about these trucks are that you can get parts for anything you want at your local parts store Napa or Oreillys. The early 80s trucks share most of the same parts so between the us 2L motor we had in the 80s and the US spec models of the same years any part you desire in found locally.
I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the truck at 612-964-7609
