Description

This vehicle is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells on Craigslist.
Up for sale is one of the sweetest (and possibly meanest) FJ40 you will come across. This project was a true ground up restoration roughly six years ago, and has since been driven fewer than 7K miles. The vision for this truck was to blend classic land cruiser styling with newer technology (e.g., fuel injection, newer Toyota, etc.), and have the meanest looking and sounding truck around. After almost three years, 1,000+ man hours, and over $40K (hard costs) spent, the truck was finally finished – true to the vision and a labor of love. No matter where this truck goes, it gets compliments.
Because we had a dedicated off road rig, this truck was built to purely terrorize the streets…in other words, if you are looking for a serious wheeler, this isn’t the cruiser for you…and honestly, this truck is way too nice to beat on at Brown’s Camp (a local offroad park). This truck has been up Firebreak Five (moderate offroad trail) and made it just fine, but the thought of messing up this body didn’t make wheeling much fun.
Beyond the factory Toyota frame and some of the body, many of the parts on this Cruiser are one-off, or Chevy. Even though there truly are too many goodies to list, I’ll do my best to describe the highlights below. Also I need to throw a shout out to Matt and Tony of Land Cruiser NW (
